If you’re taking an Uber or getting dropped off, ask your driver to head to Barcelo Bicycles — that’s where Newport Beach Electric Bike Tours is based!

📜 What Does California Law Say About E-Bikes?
In California, electric bikes are divided into 3 classes:
- Class 1: Pedal assist only, max 20 mph
- Class 2: Pedal assist + throttle, max 20 mph (this is what you’ll be riding!)
- Class 3: Pedal assist only, up to 28 mph, helmet and age restrictions apply
Class 2 e-bikes like ours are legal on most bike paths, bike lanes, and roads unless otherwise posted.
✅ You do not need a driver’s license or registration to ride.
🛑 However, all riders under 18 must wear a helmet by law — and we recommend helmets for everyone, regardless of age.
